Hi! Iām Alex,
Iām a self-taught character designer, illustrator, comic artist, and content creator. Inspired early on by my love for 2D animation and manga, I built my career step by step and have worked with studios and publishers like Paramount, Dark Horse Comics, and Magpie Games.
I started out painting portraits of people and their pets, then moved into comics,first indie projects, and eventually work with Dark Horse Comics.
My work onĀ The Legend of Korra: Patterns in TimeĀ led to further Avatar IP projects, includingĀ Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game. My published work also includesĀ Legend of Korra: Mystery of Penquan Island,Ā Critical Role ā Vox Machina Origins III #4, and various indie comic covers.
The easiest way I learned was through observation. I studied artists I loved, I watched videos of artists drawing. I tried to replicate what they did. Through demos and dissecting examples, I want to help you improve your skills of observation and share how I simplify shapes, and explore styles.
